Civil Rights and the Roosevelts

Hyde Park trip was very successful! The exhibit the Roosevelt’s and Civil Rights was very informative yet it was disturbing. It was upsetting to me to see the state of our country during the 1920’s through 1945. While President Roosevelt was doing political moves during his Presidency, it was Eleanor who brought Civil Rights to the forefront. She was very involved with African American leaders of the time. SHe would bring her concerns to the President. I highly suggest this exhibit!
